Cloud Engineer – MongoDB Atlas

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in MongoDB Atlas to join an international project focused on migrating, operating, and optimizing business-critical MongoDB environments.

The ideal candidate has recently delivered MongoDB to MongoDB Atlas migration projects, has hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, and is passionate about building stable, highly available cloud platforms with robust disaster recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MongoDB to MongoDB Atlas Cloud migration projects.
• Migrate existing Microsoft Azure systems to MongoDB Atlas Cloud.
• Operate and maintain business-critical MongoDB Atlas production environments.
• Stabilize and optimize live MongoDB Atlas production platforms.
• Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and stable production operations.
• Perform thorough testing and validation throughout migration and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience delivering MongoDB to MongoDB Atlas Cloud migration projects.
• Very strong expertise in MongoDB, with specialized experience in MongoDB Atlas.
• Experience migrating Microsoft Azure systems to MongoDB Atlas Cloud.
• Experience operating business-critical MongoDB Atlas production environments.
• Experience stabilizing and optimizing live Atlas production platforms.
• Strong knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts.
• Strong commitment to quality, stability, and reliable production operations.
• Experience performing thorough testing and validation in production environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluency in English (German is a plus).
